In the year of 2019 marked the 85th anniversary of Minn Kota Motors. In 2010 the first wireless GPS trolling system (i-Pilot) was launched.

Now Minn Kota offers electric boat motors for freshwater or saltwater, in different shaft lengths, as bow mount, transom mount and engine mounts for all different boats. At Watson’s Marine, we mainly fit the saltwater “Riptide” range, they are fully encapsulated electronics, sacrificial anodes and indestructible composite shafts which are impervious to the corrosive effects of saltwater. We feel this series is better for both fresh and saltwater applications with four diverse Riptide models allowing you to fish both waterways with confidence.

Not only can we sell you an electric engine, but we can also fabricate the mounting bracket on your aluminium boat, fit a mounting bracket on your fibreglass boat, redesign your bow rails allowing your engine to Auto Stow in & out of the water, finally fitting up the engine and get you out on the water fishing.

MINN KOTA – Riptide Saltwater RT55 Trolling Motor – Transom Mount Unit:

The all-new Riptide Transom Motor has been rebuilt with a new improved easy-to-use design; the 12V engine delivers from 40-55 pounds of thrust and is also available in four different models to suit your boat. With a push-to-test battery meter, you get an instant state of charge reading with the push of a button, the battery-extending power of Digital Maximizer (on select models) and its unmatched corrosion protection, delivering precision manoeuvrability.

A Riptide Transom mount puts you in control. A rugged 10-position Lever-Lock bracket provides a rock-solid mount, with a quick-release lever lock and durable reinforced composite materials. Take hands-on control of Riptide Transom. All models feature a tiller that extends up to 15 centimetres for comfortable steering. Only a Minn Kota can push weeds away and take on the thick stuff without battery-draining chopping and hacking. And when it’s time to move, it stows easily and securely.

Digital Maximizer controls the draw of power at variable speeds to keep you fishing longer providing more hours than you need of primary propulsion for smaller boats, meaning you’ve got enough power for a day of catching your limit. MINN KOTA – Riptide Saltwater Ulterra I-Pilot Bow Mount Unit:

The Ulterra I-Pilot provide Auto Stow/Deploy and Power Trim, we can understand the excitement around this motor. The Saltwater Ulterra I-Pilot is available in 80lb and 112lb with shaft lengths from 60″ to a massive 72″ to cater for the offshore angler who wants to hold on to those off-shore marks. The motor comes standard with a remote control providing full operation including trim and stow and deploy. Standard features of the Ulterra include a reinvented spot lock to hold you tighter to your fishing spot, a new heading sensor, I-Pilot handheld remote, power trim and an optional foot pedal. The low-profile puck design leaves the deck clear when the motor is removed.

Includes stainless steel hardware and locking pin, locking handle can be secured with padlock provision for security. Nothing makes fishing easier than Riptide Ulterra. Auto Stow/Deploy lets you get your motor in and out of the water using the included I-Pilot Remote. Once your motor’s in the water, Power Trim lets you easily adjust the motor depth for changing conditions, using your remote.
